Are you ready for an adventure? Follow the numerous themed trails, adventure routes and nature trails for children. They are not only exciting and educational, but also make hiking fun. Interactive stations inspire even the smallest hikers to use their five senses to learn about exciting topics and to engage with the nature and wildlife of Lower Austria. What could be better than hiking with the whole family through alpine meadows, down the region’s Kellergassen (wine cellar lanes), or along the edge of a gorge?

Jöchis Höfe - Adventure in Annaberg

With Jochi, the frolicking horse, families can hike to 11 farms where the stable doors are wide open. Here you can watch the animals eating, look over the shoulders of farmers and of course hand out lots of treats and pets. There are two different routes - one is 8.5 km, the other 4.5 km long. Starting points for the hike are at the Joachimsberg or at the Ötscher base in Wienerbruck, which is easily accessible to the public with the Mariazeller Rail. The hike on Jochis Höfeweg is also very much appreciated by guests of the JUFA Annaberg Mountain Experience Resort, the accommodation is 7 km from the Höfeweg.
